In 1930s the famous writers Ilya Ilf and Yevgeny Petrov travelled throughout the US and published a book of their road impressions ‘One-story America’, which became a sensation in Soviet Russia. In this program following their route are three hosts - Vladimir Pozner, Ivan Urgant and Brian Kahn. They set on 60-day 17-thousand-mile journey from the Atlantic to the Pacific coast. In each episode the hosts are visiting one or two American cities or towns, where they talk about local attractions, peculiarities of life in the area, interviewing locals, as well as expressing their opinions about what they saw. The purpose of the authors is to show the US as a country with all its pros and cons, to tell about the life of an average American and about the peculiarities of the American character.
