Russian 30 second split second chronograph stopwatch Slava USSR (1990)
The Slava stopwatch was designed for the Soviet space program (you can see one inside a Soyuz spacecraft, please see the picture).
Movement: Mechanical movement 5498 with 20 ruby jewels, mono-metallic balance with screws, gilded, Breguet spring, lever movement, long split hand. 0.2 seconds with calibration for 30 seconds and central seconds hand. 18,000 half oscillations per hour (2.5 Hz), running reserve 24 hours. Average deviation in a sixty minute period is +/-0.6 seconds.
Function: Calculus stowatch with split chronograph hand. Start/stop function activated by crown. Return by pushing button on right. Stop/start of red split chronograph hand activated by pushing button on left while stopwatch continues to run.
Case: Chromium-plated brass with screwed back, synthetic crystal, silvered metal dial with black numerals and calibrations.
Size: diameter 65 mm, thickness is 25 mm. Weight: 218 grams (without box).
